About | Innovative strategies

To achieve its objectives, PJD uses three innovative strategies, namely: the Community Manager strategy, the Teenager Mentors and the Self-test.

The Community Manager strategy : The advent of ICT has brought new ways of operating in the world and new ways for organizations such as PJD to facilitate the optimal achievement of targeted results. With the help of new communication channels, a social media strategy is needed for our organization so the hard to reach Target is the Teen and Youth component. Knowledge of social networks and their respective use becomes essential in the mobilization, sensitization and online orientation of PPERs-GV towards PPS through a digital conversion channel for “the use of health services. »

The Teenager Mentors strategy : It aims to involve young people in the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as mentors for their peers. Teen mentors are trained to provide accurate information on HIV, TB and malaria prevention, as well as to encourage their peers to practice healthy behaviors.

This strategy is based on the principle that adolescents are more likely to listen to and follow the advice of their peers rather than adults. It also makes it possible to reach a population that is often difficult to reach with traditional awareness programs.

As part of the Global Fund's AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria project, the Teenager Mentors strategy will be implemented in high-risk communities. Teen mentors will be selected from young people in these communities who have personal experience in the prevention and management of these diseases. They will be trained by health professionals to provide accurate information and give practical advice to their peers.

Implementing the Teenager Mentors strategy under the Global Fund's AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria project is an important step towards achieving the health-related Sustainable Development Goals. By involving young people in the fight against these diseases, we can create healthier and more resilient communities for the future.

The self-test : It is a screening test that you can perform yourself at home. It is often used to detect diseases or infections, such as HIV, COVID-19, cancer, etc. The self-test can come in different forms, such as blood collection kits, urine tests, saliva tests, etc. It is important to follow the instructions provided with the self-test in order to obtain accurate results. If you have any doubts about the results of the self-test, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional for further diagnosis.
