About | Message from the Executive Director

What difficult and trying years we are going through!

However, it is with self-sacrifice at work that the staff undertakes on a daily basis so that communication, through awareness campaigns, screening, virtual campaigns, educational talks, advocacy, forums serve and remain the barometer infallible behavior change, allowing us to stay in line with our vision: "A healthy and active youth for an emerging Cameroon".

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us, not to deplore it, to adapt by generalizing the work, by digitizing our procedures and by using remote communication tools in order to meet our commitments despite the multiple hazards. As civil society, alongside the government, we have effectively contributed to operationalizing the response to Covid-19 on the ground.

Furthermore, I know that I can count on all our staff to honor our many commitments. And to achieve this, we will rely on four essential values, namely: constancy in effort, flexibility of human resources, orientation of strategic planning and relevance in decision-making.

However, in a constantly developing society like ours, disparities between men and women, rich and poor, majority and minority have widened, weakening at the same time the social balance. Thus, it becomes an open secret to affirm, in view of the current context, that society is doing, more than in the past, very badly. It is an invitation to the multiplication of essential actions in favor of the disadvantaged strata to further support the vast project of social balance put in place by the state.

However, beyond our own funds which still remain insufficient with regard to our development objectives, like all local civil society organizations, we do not escape the major challenge of raising funds to carry out projects essential to the well-being of vulnerable groups.

Let's not forget: a small gesture can lead to big changes and bring back a smile.

THANKS !
